Welcome to Drums On Demand

Drums On Demand® takes acoustic drum loops to a new level of simplicity and realism (better than drum software or midi). You hear them on everything from No. 1 Billboard albums (Rob Thomas) to bedroom demos. Whether you need rock, country, pop or jazz drum loops in Acid, Rex or Apple Loops format, with our patented system, you get drum loops organized in easy-to-use Song Sets® featuring as many as 72 verse, chorus, fill, bridge, break, intro, ending and other loops. Simply find the Master Loop™ that fits the drum beat of your song and use the matching loops to quickly build a drum track that feels like a session drummer. Great drum loops for Pro Tools, Cakewalk, Cubase, Logic, Digital Performer, Garageband (Apple Loops), Acid, Live and many more. Use the preview player at the bottom of the page or click on store link above.

Multitrack Editions

Recorded meticulously to state-of-the-art specifications, many volumes of drum loops are also offered in a multitrack loops format. Available only in 24-Bit WAV (not acidized), multitrack editions provide the same loops, elements and organization as the corresponding stereo edition -- but you get them on as many as 11 multi-miked, mono/stereo tracks for complete creativity and control of the mix. Click on Store and then Multitrack Available to see what volumes are available in multitrack format.

Getting Started with Loops or PC-based Recording

If I had no experience with PC-based recording or using drum loops, and wanted to check it out without risking any money, here is what I would do. On a PC you can download trial versions of Cakewalk or Acid. A popular starter program for the PC is Cakewalk Home Studio (pictured). If I had a Mac, I’d obviously look at Garageband, which comes pre-installed, to get my feet wet.

A highly recommended book

I have used the principles in Your First Cut” and highly recommend it. Using the book’s principles and strategies, I have progressed in terms of networking with other songwriters; more importantly, it has landed me numerous appointments with real publishers and A&R types in Nashville.

Clicking Sounds?

We recently had a report of a user getting clicking sounds in his DOD loops while using Acid. He had never had this problem before, but I believe he had recently upgraded his system (Vista) and software version. He resolved the problem by simply deleting the DOD volume from his hard drive and then copying the files back over from his original DOD disk.
