Songwriter Sensibility
Sure, you can find cool bass jams on many of the “hunt and hope” loop CDs out there, but what’s lacking is the songwriter-sensibility required to construct a lifelike track -- driven by the complexity and chord patterns of your song.
Now you can complete your rhythm tracks with an organic, pro bass performance: the fret buzzes, the slides, that intangible human quality you just can’t get with midi or sequenced bass. In addition, the tightness and creativity of Bass On Demand goes way beyond the “I’m-a guitarist-so-I-can-do-my-own-bass-tracks” so prevalent on many of today’s home studio projects. Forget about those non-inventive, “root-heavy” tracks played on that bass you borrowed from your brother-in-law.
Common Sense Organization
Bass On Demand features organization similar to our patent-pending Drums On Demand volumes. The 1800+ loops and "fills" are organized by tempo and feel into 70 main folders. Groove folders include a main loop, plus several alternates and fills. Straight patterns include both short (tight) and long (loose) bars of eighths, quarters, halves, whole and double wholes notes.

Bass On Demand Listing & Previews
Click on the links below for short previews of some of the groove and straight pattern sets. The examples were made using Drums On Demand. Track Creation Tips
1) Select one or more master pattern loops from the main BPM/Style folders to form the core bass pattern(s) for the different parts of your song. Or you might create a basic pattern from the single pattern folder. From the different pitches available, choose the loops closest to the note you’re working in, and pitch change as necessary. (Depending on how your software works, you may find it useful to copy/save the loops, renaming them according to their new pitch.)
2) Select and pitch-change single note loops patterns for appropriate parts of songs as well.
3) Preview, place and pitch-change .ALT loops from their respective folders for additional variation, emphasis and realism.
4) Place/pitch change “fills” or transitions right before major section/chord changes, or during drum fills. Experiment with loops in the main or other folders. Depending on the BPM you working in you may be able to draw from BPM/Style folders both below and above the BPM you are working at when looking for matching additional loops and transitions to round out your track.
5) If needed, create any other parts with the various note from single pitch patterns. |
